We miss you Gary Haskins you are a great guy not the same in the yard
Aaron SchaitEL James Haskins
Neighbors, it is with extremely heavy hearts that we share with you that our valued employee and good friend Gary Haskins passed away unexpectedly Sunday night. He has been a part of our Ace family for almost 24 years. We all loved working with Gary. Things are not the same right now for our team. There have been tears and laughter this week as we share stories and reminisce.
Gary 1st started working for us in 1990 as a carpenter on our construction crew and returned in April 2008 working in our lumberyard. His experience and knowledge from working as a carpenter, to returning as part of our yard team, made him one of our go-to team members. Gary told us in April of 2017, “I like working here because I get to meet new people and help them with the projects they are doing. All the people here are friendly. I have been working with wood and carpentry since 1976 and I like it.” Gary was very knowledgeable and had a great understanding of lumber and building materials. Currently his duties included anything that needed to be done out in the lumberyard such as unloading semi trucks, loading lumber and building materials for deliveries, making deliveries, doing propane fills and working with rental equipment. He also did a great job at screen and window repair and on any projects we needed help with around the store. He was a hard worker, very knowledgeable, friendly and quick to respond. We could always count on Gary!
Our thoughts are with his entire family during this very difficult time. Here is a link from Gary's family on a Facebook page they have set up:

I saw Gary just the other day and got to say hi. I'm shocked and saddened to hear the sad news. He was part of a great team there and I know I'll miss seeing him. The sheer amount of projects that Gary helped me with there- spanning several years is hard to comprehend. My thoughts are with the Scholze's team; family and friends.
I worked with Gary at Scholze right after Tech school. Hell of a guy. Gone way to soon.
Great Guy saw and received help from him many times over the years he will be missed. He is with God now
